Long time no post
Well, I finally got around to posting. After like a week, at least of nothing. At least I'm partially staying on top of the posting. I decided to check out the ACLU website, as part of my "understand both sides" campaign. I saw that they have the "John Adams Project." It appears to have something to do with protecting the rotten terrorists in Gitmo. It is named after Adams because he defended the British soldiers who were arrested for the Boston Massacre. Of course, this brings up numerous questions, one of which is why does the ACLU seem to love Adams when during his presidency, he enacted laws that the ACLU would have abhorred, like the Alien and Sedition Acts, for starters. Second, that was 200 years ago and the British soldiers shot into a crowd of people who probably would have ripped them limb from limb regardless of what had happened. These British soldiers can not be compared to a group of heartless terrorists who are willing to do anything to kill Americans. These British, I'm sure, did not want to kill as many people as possible for no reason aside from pure hatred of everything they stood for. I feel like the ACLU says the Boston Massacre and 9/11 were the same idea, which they were not. How dare the ACLU claim that. This only furthers my disgust of the ACLU. Figures a group that supported Stalin for a period of time would have these ideas, ignorant, idiotic, unknowledgeable fools.

Home at last!
I'm finally home, and I'll thankfully be home all summer. Stupid summer classes though, oh well. It's just nice to be home, even though it is bloody cold out. I'll miss Catholic, but I'll just be so glad to be home. That's all I have to say about that.

Finish packing...
I have to really finish packing. Though, all I have to do is stuff most of my stuff into bags or boxes and be able to carry it all out. Oh, and also, be extremely careful with my desktop carrying it down the stairs. This should be fun. Either way, once it's all packed into the car, as long as there are no abrupt stops or potholes or anything of the sort, I'll be all set and ready to get home. HURRAY! HUZZAH! JOY!

THE END! HUZZAH!
Finally, the end of my freshman year. And on top of that, screw DC summer classes, I'm taking the classes at home! Thank God. Everything is perfect now. Grand Theft Auto IV is going to be my life.

Well, this week and summer should be interesting
Two finals, one Thursday, one Friday. Theology on Thursday, Calculus on Friday. I'm going to want to kill myself during these finals, but all I have to do is survive, then I get to go home...for a freaking week. Oh well. It'll be good. I hope everyone out there has a good summer with lots of fun and laughs and skipping around. I'll be stuck in hot, humid, disgusting DC for a couple extra months, working my brains out, instead of relaxing in my cool basement during the hot summer months playing Grand Theft Auto IV and golfing and swimming with my friends back home. It should be good though. Once the 12th rolls around, I'll be all done, then I can sit on my butt and play video games and hang out. Thousand Islands in August will be awesome too, can relax in the nice cool river breeze, watch lakers and salties go by in the channel, watch tourists make fools of themselves trying to get through a section and beach their boat on an unmarked shoal or in shallow water. All I have to do is not go insane and I'll survive. I'll be in GW housing, which will be a nice change of scenery. I just wish freaking Yurtsever wasn't so hard, then I wouldn't be dealing with any of this stupid summer crap. I blame him. Oh well.

One thing that pisses me off the most about (i)slam
I have read many books, online articles, and other sources on islam. I have always found a problem with the religion, but there is one thing that makes me want to literally kill someone because of it. It is their treatment of women. Now I may hear someone say "oh, well, that's not how we treat women, that's just a small minority." Well, if it's a small minority, do something about it, try to keep them quiet, make your opinion sound bigger than theirs. It just disgusts me beyond all imagination. The treatment of women by males is horrible, it's grotesque. It is the most God-awful thing ever.
I found one article about how more and more so-called "honor killings" are occurring in Iraq these days. Women are being killed for simple things, such as removing their veils or falling in love with a British soldier, as in the case of one 17 year old girl named Rand Abdel-Qader, who was stabbed to death by her father for being infatuated with a British soldier in Basra. Women are raped, beaten, beheaded, get genital mutilation against their will, commit suicide due to influence that they have "wronged" so-called "allah" and muhammad. Du'a Khalil Aswad, a 17 year old girl from Nineveh, was stoned to death in front of 2,000 for falling in love with a boy who was not from her tribe. The girl's family has been cast out, her father affirms that she had done nothing wrong and that she died due to his brother and tribe. He wants the people who killed her put to justice but knows that nothing will happen. Another women, named Rukhma, was trafficked over the border from Pakistan to Afghanistan was handed over to a man who raped her and beat her 3-year old son to death. She was then arrested along with the man, after escaping, for "escaping her house" and adultery. She was handed a 3 year sentence in prison for her "crimes." The man who oversaw her case laughed at her saying "This is Afghanistan, not America" and also said that if his wife went to the bazaar without his permission, he would kill her. "This is our culture" he exclaimed. Approximately 70%-80% of women who complain of domestic violence are charged with crimes. If you don't believe me, the article is right at the bottom of this page, along with another article discussing the earlier atrocities.
These women are being forced and threatened to obey the rules of an islamic state, whether one may exist in reality or not. The crime of a woman who gets raped then is jailed for so-called "adultery," then is stoned to death or beheaded, is probably one of the worst crimes being perpetuated on women on the entire Earth. When I see this country, people screaming that our own government is evil and are trying to oppress people, they should look at what is happening half way around the world. What is happening to women over there makes the US look like a utopia. I'm not saying we're perfect either, but the disgusting, appalling, grotesque, barbaric, immoral crimes being perpetuated against women in the name of islam or allah or muhammad is one of the greatest evils being committed on Earth, and it must be stopped at all costs.
